She was one of the sweetest, most agreeable women I ever met. She, and her sisters on occasion, traveled with me and they were ideal travel group members. Never a problem, always enthusiastic! Doris was one of my favorite friends and I miss her dearly. Jan

Although I just met her at Thanksgiving, she was the perfect candidate for a new, close friend. I was shocked and saddened by her loss. Her birthday was the day after mine, just a different year. Prentice and I express our love for the family.

What a beautiful, productive life she led. She must have been a joy to talk to. Her interests were so wide and varied and mirrored her joy of life. God rest her beautiful Soul. She sure lit the proverbial "one little candle". It sheds a lovely light. Blessings to her family who have been blessed by her life.

Dear Huey, I read about Doris' passing in the Statesman, and Glenda Black also let me know. I just want
to say how sorry I am for your loss. Doris was a light among us and she will be missed. I loved having

Doris was a great friend and my coworker at Austin ISD. She was just a joy to be around and a great lady in so many ways. She was such a hard worker with all her students, and never gave up on any challenges. We enjoyed her later years just laughing and going to lunch. I will miss her so much. She was a beautiful spirit and always saw the joy in every situation! She loved her children and grandchildren and always kept me up to date on their events. We will meet again Doris. My sincere condolences and prayers to her family.
