Walla Walla, WA - Frank "Ed" Cox died at home on June 27, 2011 from a heart attack.

Ed was born August 2, 1936 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Frank Edward & Verna Garner Cox Sr. Ed moved to Milton Freewater, Oregon as a young boy. Ed retired from the military in 1977 after being stationed in Vancouver, WA, Oahu, HI, Edmonds, WA, Petaluma, CA, Spokane, WA and finally Salem, OR.

Ed is preceded in death by his wife, Marcia & daughter, Sara. He is survived by sons, David of Portland, OR, Kevin of Salem, OR, Brent of Salem, OR & daughter, Shannon of Tacoma, WA. Ed also leaves behind four grandchildren; brothers, Jack, Dale & Dean and sisters, Norma & Jean. A Memorial Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 1, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Blue Mountain Memorial Gardens in College Place, Washington. Memorial contributions may be made to Rotary International of Kruse Way-Lake Oswego through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA.
