Patricia Mullinax Obituary

TUMWATER, WASH. - Patricia (Patty) Mullinax' spirit left her ailing body on February 24, 2006 after losing her battle with cancer.  Patty was a deeply spiritual person who earned her wisdom by meeting life head-on and digging deep within herself.  She laughed easily, danced joyfully, thought insightfully and loved generously.  Those of us whose lives she touched will always have a place for her in our hearts.Patty was born in Texas, but settled in Oregon in the mid-70s.  She earned her Bachelor's in Economics from University of Oregon in 1987 while raising her son.  She worked as an underwriter and claims adjuster for State Farm Insurance from 1987 until her untimely death.  She earned her Master's in Counseling from George Fox University in April 2005.  Patty is survived by her beloved son, Nathan; brother, Steve; sisters, Joanie and Jenny Mullinax, Sherry Weinstein; and their families.  A celebration of Patty's life will be held on Saturday, March 11 at 11:00 a.m. in The Old Church, SW 11th at Clay in Portland.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patty's memory to Patient Services of the American Cancer Society (800-227-2345).
