Randall Lowe Obituary

Randall (Randy) E. Lowe

June 29, 1951 - March 1, 2014

Randy left this life March 1 after a brief illness. He was born in Hillsboro Or. to Gene and Grace (Hallauer) Lowe June 29. 1951. He attended schools in Vancouver, Wa. and Salem graduating from North Salem High in 1969.

Randy served in the Army with a tour of duty in Vietnam 1970-71. He returned to Salem working for a boat manufacturer which began a passion for boats and RVs. Thru the years he worked for Safeway, Williams/Franz bakery and also in the family grocery business. In 1992, Randy turned his passion into his full time business opening Randy's Custom Detail as a mobile business eventually expanding to a larger facility on his acreage in the Macleay area of Salem. He took pride in detailing boats and motor homes, and they never left the shop without his top seal of approval. There are only so many people in life that you meet that have a passion for what they do every day. Randy had that passion and will be truly missed by all who loved and knew him. Randy also enjoyed traveling in his motorhome, Nascar, rebuilding his Jeeps, and always had a cup of coffee or a "cold one" in his shop for anyone who stopped by to visit.

He married the love of his life Cindy Pfau in 2001.

Surviving are his wife Cindy, children and stepchildren Angela Johnson (Kevin) of Roseville, Ca., Elaina Bruce (Jon) of Pestastin, Wa, Justin Lowe of Brush Prairie, Wa, Jenna Lowe (Shawn) of Vancouver, Wa. Jason Pfau (Lea) of Sandy. Tommy Pfau (Kassie) of Hayden Lake, Id. Grandchildren Jeremy, Isaiah, Tristeen, Connor, Carter, Addyson and Eliana. Mother, Grace Lowe of Salem. Sisters Debbi Oeltjen (Jim) of Sublimity, and Kristen Lowe of Salem and several nieces and nephews.

Randy was preceded in death by his father Gene Lowe.

Private family services were held at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland on March 12.

A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday March 18 at Gilgamesh Brewing 2065 Madrona Ave SE Salem. 1:30-4:30pm open to all who knew Randy and wish to remember the happy times they shared with him.

To Cindy and family, we will always remember Randy with joy and thankfulness for his generosity and warm, loving nature ... he was definitely a "one in a million" man and neighbor.

To Cindy and family,

Janet and I extend our sympathy to you. Randy was a true professional, and there are so few like him. Whenever we needed something he was always there. His work was top notch, and he was also a great person and friend. He will be greatly missed.

Our thoughts are with you.

We will miss this great guy! I always enjoyed his huge smile & quick sense of humor as a best buddy of my brother Ron Randall. Ron, Randy & several other Buddies were a great source of fun & "constant entertainment" to our parents, Walt & Dorothy Randall. My parents home became the hub of teenage activities & constant source of stories of shared adventures. Randy will always be a part of teenage lore & laughter generated by these neat fellas who graduated from North Salem High & served in Vietnam. They are examples of surviving the good & bad times & making a difference. Love to Randy & his family, Linda (Randall) & Clyde McMillan Family

Lowe Family,

Randy generously donated one of his beautiful Christmas trees to the Oregon Department of Veterans' Affairs every Christmas, for many years to display in our lobby. His annual commitment was a true honor to all veterans and appreciated by many. I will miss him and I am sorry for your loss.
