Brandon Joyce Obituary

Joyce, Brandon Patrick BJ of St. Charles, Missouri. Brandon was a gridiron football offensive tackle who was violently shot early in the morning on Christmas Eve. He later died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on December 28th. Brandon is the cherished son of Terrance Patrick and Linda Sue Joyce, and loving brother to Lindsay Ann Joyce, MD. He is also survived by the love of his life, Rachel Hubbard and as a loving nephew, cousin and friend. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Louis Paul and Charlene Fett and Pete and Eileen Joyce Brandon attended Duchesne High School in St. Charles, MO and was a 3A Missouri first-team All-State. He was one of the highest-rated offensive lineman to come out of the state of Missouri his senior year by several publications, and was also recognized for his efforts in the classroom by the National Football Foundation. He was a Division I scholarship football player at Indiana University and Illinois State where he received his bachelors degree in business. After graduation, Brandon then went on to be a member of the Minnesota Vikings, Toronto Argonauts and the UFL Las Vegas Locomotives (champions, 2009 and 2010). He came back to his hometown team, the St. Louis Rams. He was the son of former NFL punter, Terry Joyce. Services: The family is being served by The BAUE Funeral and Memorial Center, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles, MO where visitation will be held Saturday, January 1, 2011, 2:00-8:00 p.m. and Sunday, January 2, 2011, 9:00-3:00 p.m. Funeral Service 3:00 PM, Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Baue Funeral and Memorial Center Chapel. Interment St. Charles Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the St. Louis Ronald McDonald House or the St. Louis Shriners Children's Hospital. Share your condolences and memories at baue.com.
