Carol, neither the years nor the miles have diminished my high regard, long friendship and sincere admiration for Peter. It was a great joy as a young person to watch you both begin your relationship, and then attend your wedding. Chris and I send our condolences and love. Bill Lytton

I remember Peter as a proud member of an old St Louis family and friend to Oakland House. He brought his children to the old country home and I heard him explaining their connection in the family tree. So wonderful to see a proud family man.

I'm one of Peter's "few" classmates at Priory - there were only 31 of us after all. I didn't hang out with Peter per se but I knew him as a warm and caring person - a great human being. We spent some time catching up with one another at our 50th reunion a few years ago. Somehow that quiet conversation is as clear now as the day it happened. I will miss Peter's smile at lot. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your wonderful family.

Carol and Family,
My condolences for your loss.
I joined Mark Twain in 1983 as my first job in Banking. Peter was a wonderful role model and example for me, defining what being a consummate professional and a great human being meant for our Industry. He was a Leader that will be missed.

Dear Benoist family. I am a former Enterprise employee at Kansas City. I retired in 2018. I have known Peter since 1994 when he was instrumental in hiring me at Mark Twain. I am very saddened to hear of Peter's passing. He and I had a very good relationship. He always joked with me that when I visited St. Louis, I could not drive and to use taxi cabs due to my driving record in KC. He thought that was so funny and we both enjoyed the joke. Apart from having a good relationship as boss and employee, I admired Peter for beliving and seeing me as any other person even though I am considered a minority. There are few people in this world that had his human credentials. I am sure you are proud of the way he was and the fact that he left a better world because of his ideals. My prayers are with you that God will give you strenght and peace
