Mamie Marie Logan Vernon Ladner Carter, age 98 and a resident of Saucier, died on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, in Gulfport.

Mrs. Carter was a native of Carroll County, MS and a resident of the MS Gulf Coast for the past 65 years. She was a member of the Lighthouse Holliness Church in McHenry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Ruthie Logan; her brothers, Ben Frank and Linward Logan; sister, Gladys Reynolds; 5 sons and 3 daughters.

Mrs. Carter is survived by her children, Sara Scarborough, Charlese Lafaye Muirhead, Nancy Behm, Levoy Ladner, Charles Ladner, R.B. Ladner Jr., Larry Ladner, James Vernon, and Joyce Presley; sisters, Hazel Weed and Louise Logan and numerous grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2012, at 11:00am at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Steep Hollow Cemetery.
