Jean was a fine woman and great leader. She cared about kids and was truly caring about school staff. I remember "pitching" the idea of hosting an Educational Fair and Jean latched onto it and made it happen. The whole school was involved. I can still remember her comparing our school and staff to a train engine. She would say, "You're the engine that makes things happen. I'm fortunate to get to toot the horn". Family always came first with Jean. I know she retired early to be with her husband before he passed and she took wonderful care of her mother for a number of years. Jean was a very special person and she helped me personally in so many ways. I shall always remember her wisdom and caring. When one of us cried, she cried right with us. God be with the family and all the friends she made over the years. She will truly be missed.

Jean was one of the best principles that I ever worked with. She always had her door open and made one feel welcome with any suggestions or ideas that would improve Plantation Middle School and its educational program. Jean will be missed by many.
