Frantz, William T., 83, of Davie and Miramar died July 30 at home surrounded by his family after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, who was the love of his life and his brother Ken. He is survived by his son, Tom Frantz (Judith); his daughter, Joan Richards (Dick); his grandchildren, Albert, Bill (Natalie), Elizabeth (Richard); great-grandchildren, Al and Riley; and sister, June Marie Wright. He was captain of the 1947 Miami Hurricanes that won the Orange Bowl and was selected as one of their first All American's. He was a physical education teacher, football and wrestling coach in Haddonfield, NJ for twenty-five years. He is in the South Jersey Wrestling Hall of Fame. He will be remembered by family and friends as the kindest and most loving man that ever walked the face of the earth. Services will be held in Haddonfield, NJ. Memorial donations in his name may be made to the HMHS Athletic Hall of Fame, c/o Joe O'Neill, 30 Washington Ave., Haddonfield, NJ 08033.
