My lasting memory of Pat will be of his kind, gentle, warm, friendly Southern voice saying "So, how you been Jenny?" He had a teasing side to him also, always wanting to point out that the Republican party would love to have me and welcome me to join them. I'm glad I got to know Pat and will miss him. Denise, you were a strong, good, devoted daughter; you took real good care of your dad. Your love for him always showed. Be comforted in knowing that a part of him still lives in you. Denise, Warren, Megan, and Ian, stay strong in your time of sadness.

Love,
Jenny Valancy

Pat was a genuine Southern gentleman who was challenging as a formidable player in a "game of chance" at the American Legion South Miami Post 31. Pat also kindly mentored me in a serious aspect of my career transition phase and enhanced my own life experiences with his suggestions and knowledge (especially for a supberb exploration of the City of Atlanta). I only enjoyed the company of Pat Balee about one day of every week for about three years - he is a cherised friend and is missed.

With Deepest Sympathy to His Beloved Family,
Don

Pat Balee was my favorite person in the last 25 years to run into and chat with, whether at the Barbara Coast, Foxes, or the old College Park Inn. He was always cheerful, friendly and very knowledgeable on any topic. We played hearts together for a few years and mutually enjoyed teasing the night's losers relentlessly. Hopefully "Uncle" Pat is now making them laugh somewhere else.
