Jean Schaerffer Obituary

SCHAERFFER, Jean E., 56, of New Port Richey, passed away June 13, 2005, at Community Hospital of New Port Richey. Born in Kansas City, Mo., she moved here from Plant City, 20 years ago and from Somerset, Pa., in 1974. Jean retired after more than 20 years as a Registered Nurse. She was also a Doctor of Chiropractic in Plant City and worked for Hernando-Pasco Hospice. She was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Band Boosters at River Ridge Middle and High Schools, the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Mayflower Society (direct descendant of the Braden, Fuller and Brainard families). She was active with Boy Scout Troop #8 and Cub Scout Pack #88, both in New Port Richey. Survivors include her husband, Alfred "Bert" J. Schaerffer of New Port Richey; one son, John R. Schaerffer of New Port Richey; parents, Robert L. and Marge French Sr., of Plant City; one brother, Bob L. French Jr. of Plant City; two sisters, Dodie Walker of Plant City, and Barbara French of Clearwater; and nieces and nephews. Visitation will be June 18, 2005, from 2 p.m. until service begins at 4 p.m. at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church. Burial following at Vereen Cemetery. Thomas B. Dobies Funeral Homes, Congress Street Chapel, New Port Richey
