I am saddened to hear of Michael's passing. I had the honor and pleasure of working with Michael. He was the reason I went to work for SLK. He was a great lawyer, a wonderful mentor and an even better man. He is greatly missed.

I can remember the day Michael was born, he was a GREAT kid and grew up to be a wonderful man. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Dear Minkin Family - I am so sad today finding out that Michael died. My contact with him was personal and professional - he was asked by my then-employer in 1996 to help me with a ridiculous condo issue. It was only a "$750 case" but he argued successfully for me against condo stupidity - and he maintained eloquence and kept me calm as I had to face a sea of idiots. I will never forget his support at that time - it was in 1996. What an intelligent and gentle man he was - and who kept his word to help me, driving up from Miami to Broward County each time when I had to appear in the county office. I am so terribly sorry to know he left this world way too soon. My sympathies go out to you, his loving family. Sincerely, Linda Weiss

I admired Mr. Minkin, my defense attorney. Knowledgeable, decisive, and prepared. Still, he listened to and followed a suggestion that my wife made.

We won.

Ada & Meredith,

I was shocked to hear of Michael's passing. Meredith, I appreciate your having Marissa Schimmel “track me down” to convey the sad news. I regret not being able to attend the funeral, but as we spoke, I hope that you know my heart goes out to the entire Minkin family. I warmly remember the years that Michael, Larry, Steve, and I sat and davened together at Temple Samu-El • Or Olom in Miami. Michael sustained the nusach and the ruach. Later, it was a genuine pleasure when on a Rosh Hashanah several years ago, Michael “appeared” at Kol Ami in Tampa. My wife and I miss having had the opportunity to socialize, but it was good to see him on the holidays. May God grant all of you comfort among the mourners in Zion and Jerusalem, and may your memories of Michael be a blessing for the future.

Dear Ada, Meredith and family,
I am sorry to hear that Michael has passed away. I remember him as such a good-hearted wonderful soul. A very supportive person, always with a smile on his face. He was very helpful and from what I understand a great brother-in-law to my cousin Ron Schwartz and his wife, of blessed memory Sheila, zl. His nieces Brittany, Lindsey and Natalie will miss him very much. May you find strength in knowing that he touched many and they will be the better for it.

I met Michael in 2003 while working at a trial service company contracted by SLK and, when our paths crossed again in 2008, I immediately remembered him has one of the most kind, genuine and down-to-earth people I ever had the pleasure to work with. I am grateful for the benefit of the hard-earned wisdom Michael shared with me and will miss him dearly. My most sincere condolences to the Minkin family.
