Lt. Col. Robert Henning KULAAS

Robert KULAAS Memoriam

KULAAS, Lt. Col. Robert Henning, USAF (Ret.), born Nov. 29, 1924, in Minot, ND, died peacefully in New Port Richey, June 22, 2014. Robert "Bob" Kulaas was a veteran of WWII, serving as a paratrooper, and of the Korean and Vietnam Wars, as a pilot. His interests were planes, boats and automobiles. He was an avid builder of these and there was always one or more in the garage being worked on. He was a loving husband and father, always there for his family. Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Marion "Sonnie" and son, William "Billy". He is survived by his brothers and sister-in-law, Richard Kulaas in Wenatchee, WA and David and Jennifer Kulaas in Denver, CO; son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Kathy Kulaas; daughter, Lt. Col. Kristina D. L. Kulaas USAF (Ret.); and granddaughter, Kari Kulaas Johnston and husband Chad Johnston. A memorial gathering will be held in the gazebo at the west end of Turner Street in Clearwater 7 pm Saturday, July 26. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name to The Clearwater Aquarium are appreciated.
