Walter Sefker Obituary

SEFKER, Walter, 79, of New Port Richey, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2005, at Madison Pointe Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in New Port Richey. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on April 30, 1926, Walter moved to Florida in 1992 from Lindenhurst, Long Island, N.Y. Walter was a retired owner and operator of Old Mill Inn Gift Shop in Ronkonma, N.Y., a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in World War II, a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, a member of Knights of Columbus for 50 years and member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Sefker of New Port Richey; son, Walter William Sefker of Kings Park, Long Island, N.Y.; two daughters, Susan Gibilaro of New Port Richey and Kathleen Maltese of Afton, N.Y.; a sister, Jean Bonavida of Islip, Long Island, N.Y.; and four grandchildren, Erich, Adam, Mark and Shaun. A Mass of Christian burial will be said at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2005, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
