A PRAYER FOR WILLIAM
O Merciful God,the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Resurrection and Life; in whomsoever believeth, shall live, though he die; and
whosoever liveth and believeth in Him,shall not die eternally; who has also taught us,by his holy Apostle Saint Paul, not to be sorry,as men without hope, for those who sleep in Him;We humbly beseech thee,O Father,to raise us from the death of sin unto the
life of righteousness;that we shall depart this life,we may rest in Him;and
that at the general Resurrection in the last day,we may be found acceptable in thy sight;and receive that blessing, which thy well beloved Son shall then pronounce to all who love and fear thee, saying,Come,ye blessed children of my Father, receive the Kingdom prepared for you from the
beginning of the World.Grant this,we beseech thee,O merciful Father, through Jesus Christ, our Mediator and Redeemer.Amen
Prayer said by step brother Rowan Wagner from Book of Common Prayer

William was a patriotic American and loved the HYMN AMERICA - MY COUNTRY TIS OF THEE (by Samuel F Smith)
My country 'tis of Thee
Sweet land of liberty,of Thee I sing
Land where my fathers died
Land of the Pilgrims'pride
From every mountainside,let freedom ring
My native country Thee,
Land of the noble free,Thy name I love
I love the rocks and rills,
Thy woods and templed hills,
My heart with rapture thrills, like that above
Let music swell the breeze
And ring from all the trees, sweet freedom's song
Let mortal tongues awake
Let all that breathe partake,
Let rocks their silence break, the sound prolong.
Our father's God to Thee,
Author of liberty, to Thee we sing
Long may our land be bright
With freedom's Holy light
Protect us by Thy might, great God,our King.

A Children's Poem for William's daughter Camille by her step grandmother who loved her and her Dad
remembering so may happy occasions
LAST BLUE MOON
The last blue moon, when the stars that fleck
The big, dark sky and the night bedeck,
Were the twinkling down in their own quaint way
At strange old Earth, which beneath
them lay
The children got up and dressed
themselves
And went to visit the land of elves.
So,down they climbed by the pear tree tall,
Which grew close to their nursery wall
They crossed the flowerbeds by the trees
Where Camille fell ,scratching her knees
But when they reached the thick hedge that grew
Beyond the fountain,an elf danced through.
This way,he cried, through the cowslip dell,
And when you hear the first elfin bell
Begin to peal, touch your eyes with dew
Just then he vanished away from view
The children hurried,hand in hand
They reached the dell bord'ring
Fairyland
They heard faint chimes and touched eyes with dew,
When floating down on the moonbeams
blue,
Camille spied a thistledown chariot light.
They clambered in and then out of sight
Went speeding skywards, while each small star,
Winked slyly at me and called from afar
They've gone to Elfland, but not to stay,
For they'll be back at the break of day
You'll find them in their beds, don't frown
Brought home by horses on thistledown
And if you're good, they will fetch you soon
To visit Elfland the next Blue Moon.
"This way" he cried,"through the cowslip dell
And when you here the first elfin bell
Begin to peal, touch your eyes with dew,
When floating down on the moonbeam blue

A Christian Poem for William by John Flaskett ( step great uncle)
I WONDER, A CHRISTMAS CALYPSO
I wonder what it felt like to be born
a King
In a manger,bare of everything.
I wonder if He thought of His power laid by
And missing all his Angels, wondered why
He was lying in the darkness, all alone
Instead of sitting grandly on His
golden throne
I wonder if the shepherds on that
wondrous night
Felt frightened by the dazzling light
I wonder as they woke up from their heavy sleep
If they grumbled as they stumbled on the grazing sheep
And rubbed their sleeping eyes as the
Heavenly throng
Wondered at the meaning of the Angel's song.
I wonder if the Magi who had come so far
Following the shining star
Began to think that maybe, it was all for naught
And regretted that they'd ever started
out
I wonder if they found that it was all
worthwhile
When they'd given Him their gifts and
seen the baby smile
I wonder if it in two thousand ten
For the World is better than it was
before
Or whether Jesus thinks He'll have to
come again
And suffer all that selfishness and
grief and pain
I wonder what it felt like to be born God's Son
Neglected and rejected by nearly every
one

Christian Poem by William's step-grandmother "Gigi" who loved him:
Twinkle,twinkle little star
I watch you twinkling from afar
I know that you are saying
"God made us both - both me and you.
From Him all skill and science flow
I know this well as here below
I seek to understand how move
Your heavenly bodies. By His love
The answer's given
And know my soul. He now has shriven
One day I shall go up to Heaven
Therefore,oh star I,with you bring
My thanks to our Almighty King.
By His brave death upon the Cross
To save me from eternal loss
Eternal life He thus did give.
No doubt you will ever live.
He said that our old Heaven and Earth
Will one day have a new re-birth
That in this Holy Heavenly hill
Nothing shall hurt,nor ever kill.
Therefore, to God our Father,
Christ His son
And Holy Spirit evermore our praise
be done.
Long ago you led the way
To the Christ child in the hay
And so when here our life is past
You will lead him home at last.

Psalm 23:
The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not be in want.
He make me lie down in green pastures,
He leads me besides quiet waters,
He restores my Soul
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me, in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil,my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever.

The Lord's Prayer :Our Father, Who Art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name, Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will Be Done, On Earth, As it is in Heaven, Give us this day our daily bread, and Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation. But deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom. The power and the glory. For ever and ever. Amen.
