David Lewis HADLER

HADLER, David Lewis, 63, of Tampa, passed away December 10, 2009. He was born March 30, 1946, in London, England. David is survived by his wife of 41 years, Eryl; son, Tim Hadler (Lizzy); daughters, Lesley Villanyi (Colman) and Katie Judd (Steve); grand-children, Lydia and Simon Villanyi, Samantha and Claire Judd and Beatrix and Margaret Hadler. David began his insurance career in 1962, at the age of 16, when he joined the Guardian Insurance Co.

in London. He worked there five years before joining J.H. Minet & Co., (a Lloyd' s broker) of London, Montreal and Toronto. He transferred from London to Montreal in 1968. In 1977 he joined the Sedgwick Group and was vice president of Lukis Steward of Montreal and Toronto. In 1985, he became managing director of Ewings/Lukis Stewart Toronto. In 1990 he transferred to be president of Crump Insurance Services, Illinois, Inc. In 1994, he became the first president and chief executive officer of Energy Insurance Mutual; a mutually owned insurance carrier that provides gas and electric utilities with insurance.
