Berthold was a dear and sweet friend of my parents and myself. He always had a pleasing thing to say to all he spoke with. He will be dearly missed.

I came across this man in a video and for some reason him and his name stood out to me so I gave him a look up in the old internet machine.. I am sorry to hear of your loss.
It would seem that Dr. Schwarz lives on in both his work and those of the lives he touched. My best of wishes to his family and friends.

I had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Schwarz back in 1987 and spent over 20 years working with him in his research explorations and investigations. He was kind, supportive, and non-judgmental.
My life has been enriched by all the contacts he gave me to explore, some of which are my good friends now. Bert was always available for a chat and to share his excitement into the unknown with me. As Sigmund Freud wrote in 1921 "If I had my life to live over again, I should devote myself to psychical research rather than psychoanalysis". Dr. Schwarz did both and blazed a trail most men wouldn't dare touch due to peer pressure and academic constraints. I, for one, am glad he ignored them. Bert was like a father to me, encouraging me to publish, introducing me to his family and friends and was always available to share in the Mystery. He was wise beyond his years. Sometimes I feel him riding with me over my left shoulder, guiding me. It was hard to lose you Bert; you were deeply loved and respected in your community by those who lives you touched. May you carry that torch and lead the way for us still on this side of life. My prayers and condolences to Eric and Lisa.

Bert Schwarz was a friend of my late writing partner, Harry Lebelson, and we often interviewed him for articles dealing with UFO's and psychic phenomena for Almanaque Mundial, the Latin World Almanac. We were invited to his home about 1994, and treated to several films as well as viewing his psychic library. He was a truly wonderful man. When Harry passed on, Bert sent me an interesting card which hinted to me that my life was about to change. The card has a Navajo entering Monument Valley on a horse. Several months later, a series of fortuitous incidents led me to a Navajo family who adopted me. for the past 14 years, I have been a part of the Navajo and Shoshone tribes and run the natural medicine line on the Red Nation Society. I located the card a couple of days ago, while cleaning out my closet and this is when I discovered that what he had predicted came true.
This prompted me to look him up on the internet because I wanted to tell him of what happened to me. May he rest in peace. He wrote to me that Harry's memory would be imperishable. Bert's will also be imperishable. Blessings to his family. Bette Rush

Our condolences to Ardis, Eric, and Lisa.
Bert was one of a kind. My mom and he were cousins and neighbors in Jersey City. I can never forget his boundless enthusiasm and positive attitude about eveverything. And yes, I got the handshake-with-a-quarter in it all the time, too. I think by the time I made it to high school, it was a dollar. Thanks, Uncle Bert.

Ardis and Family, it was with great sorrow I heard of your loss. Dr. Schwarz was a wonderful person and friend. He was a man who loved life, his family, whom he spoke of often, and his research work. His enthusiasm and joyful manner was showered upon all who knew him. I was Honored that Dr. Schwarz found my husband Bill Clark and myself worthy of his time. Dr. Schwarz was forever encouraging, he will be greatly missed in this world but I know he and Bill must be visiting and laughing in the beyond. Blessings and prayers of comfort to all who knew and loved this wonderful man named Berthold Eric Schwarz.

My deepest sympathy to you all. My parents (June and Carl Kieber) were friends and we know that Bert and Ardis were held in very high regard. Our parents have passed now and I hope that they're renewing their friendship with Dr. Schwarz in another dimension.

Ardis, Lisa, Eric and Kristi--
Who would have thought that two young physicians coming to the Mayo Clinic for fellowships in Pediatrics and Psychiatry would become neighbors in Montclair and lifelong friends. We have many fond memories of long walks and shared conversations, birthday parties for our children, etc.
Our love and sympathy in your loss.
We must keep in touch. Alice and Bart

Dr. Schwarz was truly one of the most interesting individuals I have ever known. Not only was he professionally brilliant, but Dr. Schwarz was also unselfish and humble. He made everyone around him feel special. I won't ever forget that "twinkle in his eyes" either, or his fast gait while walking on Beachland Blvd.~!
His life was spent well.He wasted little time.
Ardis, Eric, Lisa, and Kristi-How fortunate to have shared your life with such a fine human being.

Fair seas and following winds, Dr. Schwarz! I remain eternally grateful for your personal counsel and professional inspiration, provided some 40 years ago; you touched and forever changed my life, so much for the better. Our recent, brief reunion is made all the more precious by your passing.
My sympathies and condolences, as well, to your family: I hope it is of some value and comfort to you, in your time of loss and grief, to hear knowledgable testimony to what a truly extraordinary professional Dr. Schwarz was, in addition to being a kind and worthy man.

I am glad to have had the pleasure of knowing Dr. Schwarz. I first met him when I was about 12 years old and he really inspired me to look at the world in a different light. I always admired his work and was extremely honored when I was asked to be involved in some of his research. Even when I was in college, he still took the time to answer my questions. You will be missed Dr. Schwarz.

I always will remember Dr Schwarz (Uncle Bert) as a great man, Godfather & neighbor. We all in NJ are very sad to hear the news. As a young kid, I still rememeber Uncle Bert shaking my hand & every now & then passing me a quarter as he did it. My eyes would grow big with excitement. I can still feel the exhileration I would get as if it was yesterday. I remember the trips to Willies Diner & the Pilgrim Diner too. He knew how to make a child feel important & Loved. God Bless Uncle Bert.
Love always to Aunt Ardie, Lisa, Eric & Kristi
