I just learned about Mark's passing today, August 27, 2020. I served aboard the USS Washenaw County (LST-1166) with Mark. I was Mark's division and department Officer. Mark was always positive in his attitude with a great smile. He was a fine sailor and a fine young man. I know that Mark became a hydraulic specialist on aircraft and my wife and I visited Mark and Elaine and their young family in Lafayette in the 70's or early 80's.
The last time I saw Mark and Elaine was at the ship reunion in Tennessee. My thoughts and prayers are with the family even now. Mark was a good friend and I will miss him. I invite the family to contact me.

I just found out of Marks passing Monday Jan. 30 2012 in the late afternoon. Mark and I worked together for many years. Mark always tried to help family and friends as best he could. My sympathy and best wishes goes out to all family and friends who knew Mark, especially Elaine, Mike, Earrie, and Marks granddaughter that he was so proud of and made him laugh.
