I have fond memories of Herschel. He was always a perfect gentleman in dealings with me when I was with the Louisiana Department of Insurance. I pray for him and his loved ones.

To the family of Hershel Calvin Adcock,
I was truly saddened to hear about Hershel passing away. He was a great man who did a lot for our city and state. He was really easy to be around and I enjoyed his presence always. Hershel really had a great family that he created and now he has left behind. I know he will be greatly missed. It is comforting to know that Hershel will have many tomorrows.
Please express my deepest condolences to the family.

                                                                                             Sincerely,
                   Bob Westerman

Met Herschel in the 70's while lobbying. His influence and personal input in the credit industry was honorable and true. He was always personable with a great sense of humor. His impact on Louisiana politics is in the history books for the good works he provided. We will all miss this great man. God bless the family, an old friend.

Bo and John. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your father. Growing up across the street from your family, I got to know your father well, and he is one of the most kindest and considerate people I have ever known. He will be in my prayers.

Jon.. Mr. Adcock was a very special man I can't remember a time when he wasn't smiling. He became a part of our family many many years ago and shared our happy / sad moments. He will be remembered in our hearts. I'm sure he was welcomed at the gates into the kingdom of God by Jared. Give him a hug for me Mr. Adcock...may God bless all of you and help you through this sad time.

To Fran, Jon, Becky, and Bo: My deepest sympathy on the passing of Herschel. I first met Herschel at the Capitol during session, of course. I won't say how long ago. How could one be involved in politics and the legislative process and not know Herschel. Herschel was an accomplished lobbyist, and was always focused. Too, he was a very amiable professional, and never passed up the opportunity for a little fun and a ready smile. Bless you in this tough time, as we were blessed to have him with us.
