Elda Louque St. Pierre

Elda Louque St. Pierre, 95, passed away at 2:20 a.m. in LaPlace. She was a native of Grand Point and had lived there all of her life. She was the wife of the late Rene J. St. Pierre Sr. She is survived by her three sons, Curry St. Pierre, Rene J. "R.J." St. Pierre Jr. and Roy A. St. Pierre; and three daughters, Myrtis S. Hymel, Merlyn S. Terry and Helen S. LeBlanc. She was the mother-in-law to Thomas R. Hymel Sr., Percy "Pappy" Terry, John Keith LeBlanc, Phyllis St. Pierre, Eva St. Pierre and Roberta St. Pierre. She is also survived by a brother, Prentice Louque; 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnaud Louque and Louise LeBlanc Louque; five brothers, Noe Louque, Hennis Louque, Lester Louque, Kearney Louque and Perry Louque; four sisters, Hermina L. St. Pierre, Beatrice L. Schexnayder, Isabel L. Bourgeois and Honorine L. Cotham; a daughter, Marie St. Pierre; two grandchildren, Sheree Hymel and Timothy St. Pierre; and a great-grandson, Jonah Roussel. Visitation will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina on Friday, Oct. 23, from 9 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon from the church with the Rev.
