"Oh heart, if one should say to you that the soul perishes like the body, answer that the flower withers, but the seed remains."
~Kahlil Gibran
My thoughts and prayers are with you. Know that your loved one is the seed and therefore, your loved one lives on.
Without the love and support of your mother, I could not have made it during my years in college and raising my daughter. I will forever be grateful to Mrs. Major and your whole family. Go with God.
Love, Coleta

Nana loved all of her children and her family and friends very deeply. You could feel how much she cared
about you. That kind of ability to connect with people and care for them and tell them what they need to hear is reserved for God's special angels. She was one and deserves to move past this earthly life to where she belongs Wish I could be there to hug all of you. Hold on to her love. It's will get you through your grief and be with you forever.

To Lynnis, Deborah, Dana, Marsha, Lowell, and Maurice: Nana was fortunate to have a family who loves her dearly, and one that she loved well in return. Without a doubt, she is with the Lord. Anyone who knows her realizes that she would go to the ends of the Earth to help her fellow man; No one was ever a stranger to her. Throughout her lifetime, she instilled good values and morals in all of us (when we let her ). I will never be able to thank you enough for the care and support Nana and her family have shown me. Surely, we will all miss her.

To Marsha, Dana, and the entire Major family:
Rosalind joins me in extending our most heartfelt condolences during your time of bereavement. Mrs. Major will forever be remembered as a christian woman who was hard-working, vigilant, and loving. When I was at Bethel, she would always give me words of encouragement which meant so much. However, at the end of one church service, I said to Dana we would have to prepare to sing a "trio" for church service. With a concerned look on her face, Mrs. Major said, "What did you say?" So, I repeated it. She said, "Oh, I thought you said prepare for a trip!" (Vigilant!) After the exchange, we both laughed about it!
Family, during this most difficult time, please remember to lean on the Lord and He will guide you through all of this! One of my favorite hymns declares, "Earth has no sorrow, that heaven cannot heal!" We love you and will continue to pray for your strength.

Please accept my condolences during your time of great sadness. May you cherish fond memories to cope with the pain from day to day. Please take note of the comforting words at 1 Thessalonians 4:14, the beautiful hope of seeing your loved one Iva again.

I will always remember Mrs. Major and the pj parties, trips to Mardi Gras and of course, the Hollywooders. Rest in peace.
