Salinas
Dr. E. L. Moon, 84, founder and pastor of the Calvary Community Church for more than 50 years, passed away Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015, in Salinas. He was born July 8, 1931, in Allen, OK.
Pastor Moon is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Betty Moon; daughters, Linda (Michael) Hurst and Denise (Jim) Pearson; son, Arlon (Susan) Moon; 13 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Dean and Edward Moon; and sisters, June Sheets and Wanda Kingsland also survive.
A Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, at Calvary Community Church, 8145 Prunedale N., Salinas, CA 93907.
Private Entombment will take place at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

Dear Moon family,
My prayers are with you all as you celebrate the life of Pastor Moon. It was a blessing to minister with him for 21 years at PCA. He was a true example of a man who loved and served his Lord and Savior. I know the Father said " Well done thy good and faithful servant" upon his arrival in heaven.
