Geoffrey Warren Obituary

Geoffrey W. Warren

AGE: 72 • Vineland

Geoffrey W. Warren, 72, of Vineland, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 18, after a brief illness. Born in Pleasantville, he moved to Vineland at the age of 6. Before beginning his career in law enforcement, he worked with his father in the Pepsi-Cola distribution center in Vineland. Geoff began his career in law enforcement as a member of the Buena Borough Police Department. He subsequently joined the Vineland Police Department where he rose through the ranks from patrolman to SIU Narcotics detective, Captain of the Pistol Team and a Firearm instructor. He was also a member of the FOP. Retiring from law enforcement in 1983, Geoff transitioned to the private sector as Vice-President of Operations for the Vineland Group, Inc. Retiring from this position in 2006, Geoff devoted himself to his beloved wife, children and grandchildren. He especially loved his time with his "Best Boy" Matthew, watching him play baseball on the field. He also enjoyed going out to dinner, fishing on his boat and cheering on his beloved Eagles and Phillies and babysitting his grandchildren. One of his greatest joys in life was spending time at his condo in Ocean City. Geoff is survived by his loving wife, Millie (Centanni) and recently celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary on December 26th by renewing their wedding vows. He is also survived by his children, Melissa (Marc) Kousmine, Laurie (Mike) Lisicki, Gary (Natalie) Reynolds, Brady Warren and Geoffrey (Donna) Warren and his sister Judy Barker, his grandchildren, Matthew, A.J., Lexi, Megan, Mary, Gene, Christian, Sabrina and Zachary and many nieces and nephews.

A church visitation will be on Thursday. January 22, 2015, from11am to 12:45pm followed by a funeral Mass at 1:00 pm at St. Padre Pio Parish, Church Of Our Lady Of Pompeii, 4680 Dante Avenue, Vineland. Entombment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Tuckahoe Rd., Newfield, NJ.

The family requests that donations may be made to Geoff's favorite charities: ALSAC St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 505 North Parkway, Box 3704, Memphis, TN 38103 or St. Padre Pio Parish, 4680 Dante Ave., Vineland, NJ 08361.

Dear Millie and family,

Ann and I would like to express our deep condolences for the loss of Geoff. For over 20 years I have enjoyed many conversations (both serious and light hearted)with him. He had a great dry sense of humor that I will miss. I also enjoyed having him tell me about your many shared fishing exploits. This past summer Geoff told me how much he loved his grandchildren along with the joy he had in being able to share Ocean City with them. He was also very proud of the fact that Matthew was growing up into a fine young man.

Again please accept our condolences on your loss to you and your family.

Sincerely yours,

Mark & Ann Dransfield

Most sincere condolences to Millie, Melissa, Laurie, and Gary. I have fond memories of my parents playing cards and having coffee with Millie and Geoff often when we were growing up. Even as a kid, I loved Geoff's sarcastic humor. It was great to reconnect with you guys through baseball with Matt. So very sorry for your family's loss. I am hopeful that Geoff and Kenny can get a good card game going upstairs!
