With sincere condolences to the family. May the God of loyal love comfort your family during this time of need. 2 Corinth 1:3-4 "Who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God. For just as the sufferings for the Christ abound in us, so the comfort we receive through the Christ also abounds."

Just wanted to pass my condolences to the entire Wheeler family. So often you hear the phrase that someone is a "one of a kind". If there is anywhere that that phrase applies, it is here. He was truly "one of a kind." Dudley was Dudley, not afraid to say what he thought, whether you liked it or not. He was a farmer, a police officer, probably one of the best detectives ever, and funny as HELL! Some of the stories he told about his experiences farming had me almost rolling on the floor. May he rest in peace, and may all of you find comfort in your memories.

God Bless the Wheeler family and friends of Dudley. I, remember Dudley way back when I was on the No. Ston. Police force. His father was a Police Officer and helped to make Pawcatuck safe. They will miss him. God will see your family through the sad times and help to remember the good times that everyone shared. Never forget the good people that your meet along the way. The Lewis family and Curt's family just know that he was a great friend.
Remember that everyday is a gift.
Always a friend

To all of the Wheeler Family,
Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Dudley. Our paths had not crossed much since school, but I have fond memories of hunting the Wheeler property with him and his dad, and the Whewells. Dudley was a great athlete, officer, detective, and a fine gentleman. He will be missed by all in the community for his leadership and dedication to the town of Stonington.
