George Kenyon Obituary

Mystic - George Kenyon, 91, a resident at StoneRidge in Mystic, passed away Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Claire (Christoph) Kenyon.

He worked at Electric Boat in Groton, for 39 years as a supervisor. He thoroughly enjoyed his RV trips across country with his wife and spending time at his home on Wamphassuc Point. He was a member of the Westerly Yacht Club, Coastal Lodge No. 57 NCT, Sphinx Shriners and Groton Lodge of Elks.

He is also survived by his sons, Robert (Annette) and William (Laurie); grandchildren, Christopher, Kyle, Craig, Caroline; and five great-grandchildren.

Due to the pandemic, services and burial at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford, will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in George's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 200 Executive Boulevard, Suite B, Southington CT 06489.

The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Mystic is assisting the family.

George was one of a kind. A most caring and giving person without equal. George and Claire have treated me with such kindness and shared so much of their lives with me, that I will never be able to repay them I will miss George and his "just get it done" approach to things.
