My memories of Donnie go WAY back to the 1960s when I "babysat" for the Wimpfheimer boys. I remember Donnie as a very sweet, shy young boy. I lost track of Donnie over the years but I sincerely hope that he lived a happy and fulfilled life.

High Mowing was one of the best experiences of my life and 'Whimph' was one of those people who made it great. We were in the same class. My room was in the corner of the dorm and his was a couple of doors up towards the dayroom. I remember him also for the brace he wore on his leg which he never let impede him in the least. He was always 'up' and a positive influence.
Every now and then I go to google and type in something like this which brought up the death of another old friend who passed away in 2004 "Kenneth Spence" Obituaries
God Bless you Donald, Mike

I remember Wimpy from my years at High Mowing School. He was a couple of years behind me and we weren't close friends, but he was a really good guy and we got along well. If I'm not mistaken, I seem to recall that he kept a pet skunk in the dorm, too... And I don't remember any problems with that. (The skunk was probably de-scented, but I don't know for sure.) To Dana and the rest of Don's family, I am very sorry for your loss.
