James Cundari Obituary

James V. Cundari
James V. Cundari, age 80, husband of the late Susan Mary (Campbell) Cundari, passed away in Norwalk Hospital on Monday, July 16, 2018. Jim was born in Norwalk on July 21, 1937 to Rocco and Teresa (Violi) Cundari. Jim worked as a pressman for The Norwalk Hour, as well as a United States Army Veteran in which he was responsible for printing confidential and secret maps.

On October 9, 1965, Jimmy married Susie, the love of his life. Together, they created a wonderful life in Norwalk for thirty-one years. Their daughter, Becky, was their world. After Susie's passing in 1996, Jimmy was blessed to become a "Poppy" to three beloved grandchildren who meant the world to him: Megan, Alex, and sweet little Shannon, who simply idolized him. Jimmy had a heart of gold. He was extremely generous and giving to family and friends in need. He always lent an ear and was readily available for advice anytime. Music and classics were his interests. He was an avid member of St. Ann's Club in Norwalk, in addition to a lifetime member of the South Norwalk Boat Club. Jimmy will be fiercely missed, but never forgotten. A myriad of cardinals was a beautiful sign to his daughter on the morning of his passing.
He is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Sue DeLallo, and her husband Rich, 3 grandchildren, Megan, Alex and Shannon, a brother Dominic Anthony Cundari, sisters Theresa Cundari Burnham and Virginia Cundari Falcone and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his beloved wife, Susan, he was predecessed by his sisters, Frances Cundari Piro, Ann Cundari Gamberdella, Mary Cundari Martin, Margaret Cundari Howard, brothers Charles Nunziato Cundari, Rocco Cundari Jr., and Louis Cundari Sr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Church 203 East Avenue. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery 223 Richards Avenue Norwalk. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at The Magner Funeral Home 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. To sign an online guestbook please go to www.magnerfuneralhome.com
Please note that members of the St. Ann's Club are to be at the Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m.
