Sylvia Testa Obituary
Born June 6, 1929 in Stamford, CT, she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Mildred Meduega Cogliandro.
Mrs. Testa lived much of her life in Norwalk before moving to Florida 17 years ago. While in Norwalk, she worked as a companion for the Family & Children''s Agency. She enjoyed playing bingo, dancing and music, and was very active as the social director at her condominium association at Cypress Club in Pompano Beach, FL. She also enjoyed spending time with friends, family and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Testa is survived by her son Robert Testa and his wife Karen of Stratford, CT; three daughters, Janet Dobson of Norwalk, Joan Dzilinski and her husband Gene of Fort Myers, FL and Ann Marie Ciaccio of Fort Myers, FL; 8 grandchildren, Gary Testa and his wife Valerie, Jeff Testa and his wife Jessica, Robert J. Testa, Robert Dobson Jr. and his wife Kerry, Jason Dobson, Sereniti Dobson, Joseph Dzilinski, and Leia Ciaccio; and by 9 great-grandchildren, Mariah Ventrella, Alexander, Juliana and Isabella Testa, Abigail and Nathan Testa, Alexis and Samantha Dobson, and Ryland J. Ciaccio. Additionally, she is survived by her three sisters Sally Battista and her husband Tony, Jane Sabini and Anita Russo, and her brother Tony Coy and her special friend Francis Dzilinski.
Mrs. Testa was predeceased by her daughter Sylvia Testa, sister and Rose Capparelle and brother-in-law Pat Capparelle.
Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30 AM in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, 25 Camp Avenue, Darien, CT.
