I wish to extend my deepest condolences to the family of Jerry Rivers. I first became acquainted with Jerry at the ENT Clinic, Blanchfield. He came in anytime he was in the building to say hello,to all of the staff and brighten our day with that smile. When my husband needed assistance to get his benefits filed
he was available to help and also helped me with filing for widow's benefits in 2010. Through it all Jerry always was a joy to have on my side.
He served this community so well and completely without regard for his own time (I am sure he needed). Thank you for sharing his time with the rest of us.
We shall keep you in our prayers, may God be with you at this time of loss.

It is hard to find the words that might bring you comfort at this time of loss....But perhaps just knowing that we are thinking of you with sympathy and understanding will somehow help to give you strength at this difficult time. Comrade Rivers has served God, Country, and the veteran's in an emaculate manner beyond the call of duty. His positive can do attitude coupled with his vast knowledge of veteran affairs has helped thousands. He will truly be missed by many; but we will see him again. Comrade Rivers is in Heaven right now handling veteran affairs for all our comrades that has went on to glory like himself. May God continue to Bless the family. Comrade Elmore L. Black, American Legion Post 143, Clarksville, Tn
