Eddmond Sisco Obituary
BETTSVILLE: Eddmond Sisco Sr., 77, of Bettsville, died at 9:19 a.m., Monday, April 15, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Eddmond was born on May 29, 1935, in Davisport, KY, to the late Melvin and Garnett (Mills) Sisco. He married Ruth Ann (King) on December 26, 1956 and she survives in Bettsville.
Survivors include his four daughters, Kimberly (Larry) Stump of Bettsville, Claudia (Steve) Harrison of Kansas, OH, Sherri and Terri both of Bettsville, a son, Eddmond Jr. (Lezlee) Sisco also of Kansas; three grandchildren, Anna Sisco of Bettsville, Laura (Joe) Biddle of Risingsun, Eddmond David Sisco of Kansas; three step-grandchildren, Jasmin Stump, of Virginia, Daniel (Kelsey) Stump of Germany, Steven Stump of Texas; two great-grandchildren, Shelby and Ashton Biddle; two step-great-grandchildren, Gavin and Liam Stump; two sisters, Faye (Radford) Comer of North Ridgeville, and Betty Webb of Elyria.
Eddmond was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Barbara Mills and seven brothers, Wilburn, Eugene, Donald, Daniel, Paul, McKinly and Elzie Sisco.
Eddmond worked twelve years at Basic Refractories and retired from Honeywell after thirty-one years. He was very active in the community serving on the school board and the Howard Pl Eels Park Recreation Board. Eddmond volunteered many years at the park and also served on the Executive board for the local 533 in Fostoria and many other capacities for the board. He loved coaching Little League for many years and enjoyed wood working and gardening. He most enjoyed family gatherings and all the grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory in Bettsville with the Rev. Chris Walters officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Saturday, at Pleasant Union cemetery in Old Fort.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Fostoria Hospital Oncology Department, Heartland Hospice of Clyde or to the charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.engleshookfuneralhome.com.
