David was a wonderful friend. He has been apart of our family for about 45 years. He use to sing me this song when I would be down. It went, His grace is greater than our failures, His peace runs deeper than our pain, if we go to Him for mercy, our hearts can rest assure, that our lives are safely in His hands. I can still hear him singing it. I love you David!!

I played football with David at the University of Arizona, and it is not an exaggeration to say - rare was the athlete who had the talent, as well as the dedication and; above all, the love for his teammates, coaches, trainers, equipment managers, and athletic department personnel, that David had. David's memory will last a lifetime for those who had the privilege of calling this man "friend". Bear Down, David. You held the rope for all of us.

An how can I forget the countless hours singing in church!!! David is one of the kindess men I've ever know and he will be greatly missed!! The heavens rejoice as my brother and friend entered the gates to eternal life and oh what a reunion there must have been with his Dad, Deacon Liggins and his wife!!
