Joseph Hagerty Obituary
PORT CLINTON: Joseph James Hagerty, 82, of Port Clinton, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at his home with his wife, Pamela, at his side. He was born August 25, 1929 in Fremont, Ohio the son of Frank J. and Elizabeth (Baker) Hagerty.
Joe was a member of Fremont St. Joseph Church, the Fremont Knights of Columbus, and Fremont Country Club. He was an avid hunter, and a member of Hunter's Point and West Bay. He enjoyed spending his time hunting, golfing, and was a lifelong artist.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela (Henry), whom he married January 25, 1991 in Fremont; sons, Patrick (Shelley) of Fort Thomas, KY, Michael (Kathy) of Rio Rancho, NM, Mark (Angie) of Put-in-Bay, and Quin (Susan) of Jacksonville, FL; daughters, Ruth Hagerty of Rio Rancho, NM, Mary (Jerry) Higgins of Port Clinton; step-son, Dustin Dinan; sister, Jeanne (Larry) Smith of Bellevue, 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Russell Hagerty; sister, Ruby Mayle; first wife Donna Hagerty; and their son, Brian John Hagerty.
A memorial mass will be held on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 709 Croghan St., Fremont, Ohio. Foos Funeral & Cremation Service, 504 East McPherson Highway, Clyde is in care of arrangements.
Memorials can be made to Hospice of Memorial Hospital, 715 Taft Avenue, Fremont, Ohio 43420.

What a wonderful sportsman, artist and craftsman Joe was. We are reminded of that every time we arrive at the wonderful hunting lodge/summer home he created for us. We love it and we have fond memories of the past that he was a part of.

Pamela and family, The employees of Lesher Printers had so many fond memories of working with Joe while printing his artwork and book. He was such a great guy always telling us lots of great stories. He was such an entertaining person who brought so much laughter to our crew. Pamela he always talked about you lovingly. We will never forget him. God bless you all. We will miss him too.

To the Family of Joe Hagerty: I got to know Joe at Hunters Point West Bay Hunt Club. He was a congenial and fascinating friend who gave me and the club members many warm stories about his exciting experiences. He was an important person in the club and did a lot to make it a success. Joe had a fabulous talent for bringing wildlife alive in sculptures and paintings that we all enjoyed. I extend my condolences to the family on the passing of a great outdoorsman and good friend. Sorry to hear of the passing of Joe. My fondest memory is his artistic talents. He created a picture for my Granfather and it will forever be in my mind. He was a great man and will be sadly missed.
