Wayne Hagerty Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cartmell-Davis Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc. - Main Office on Jan. 27, 2026.
Wayne Roy Hagerty of Plymouth passed away surrounded by his loved ones on January 22, 2026, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth, at the age of 75.

Wayne was born in Attleboro on October 11, 1950, to the late Roy and Dorothy (Fallows) Hagerty, Jr. He spent his career as a machinist and was known for his ability to fix just about anything. A gifted artist, Wayne loved to draw and had an eye for detail that showed in everything he did. He was an avid New England Patriots fan, enjoyed a good cheeseburger, and never passed up a cup of coffee. He also had a lifelong love of motorcycles and cars. He always wanted to travel the country on a motorcycle.

Above all else, Wayne adored his children and grandchildren. He especially enjoyed staying connected through their group chat, where he could keep up with everything happening in their lives.

Wayne was the loving father of Wayne Hagerty Jr. and his wife, Sadie of New Hampshire; Matthew Dufault of Attleboro; Wendy McConnell and her husband Christopher of Plymouth; and Timothy Hagerty of Florida. He was the cherished grandfather of Amethys Nieves, Andrew Nieves, Sailor Morgan, Larissa Dufault, Isaac Reid, Jacqueline Dufault, Jade Hagerty, Kaela McConnell, Phoebe Hagerty, Axl Briggs, Noah McConnell, and the proud great-grandfather of Isaiah Hagerty Reid. He was the brother of Joyce Rose and her husband William of New Hampshire, Carol Kelley and her husband John of Mashpee, and Roy Hagerty III and his wife Karen of North Attleboro.

A period of visitation will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 6:00 p.m., at the Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home, 373 Court Street, Plymouth.
