James Martin Obituary
He was born Aug. 10, 1943, in Howardstown, to his parents, Edward and Edna Mae Perkins Martin.
James was a self-employed custom home builder and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He lived a life of hard work and hard play. His favorite place to be was on the lake because he loved to fish. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his friends and camping. He loved God, family, friends and clients who became friends and spending time with them.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Martin, in 2007.
Survivors include his two daughters, Lara Brooks (Oliver) and Samantha Paul (Mike); two grandchildren, Sydney Turpin (Tristan) and Logan Brooks (Ryan White); and a great-grandchild, Solomon Brooks Turpin.
His body could no longer keep going, but his soul lives on. Please pray for his family who loved him dearly.
As per his wishes, his remains are being cremated and there will be no service.
Donations may be made in his honor to Hosparus of Central Kentucky.

I am saddened to learn of James' death. He had been a friend since the 80's, when we used to fish together sometimes in local tournaments. Also, a good customer of ours at R&W Marine. My sincere condolences to the family. James was a good man and friend. I enjoyed his company.
