Dear Donna, Mitch and families,
Yesterday was a bittersweet occasion for Don and I. Bitter because we lost Marion, but sweet, because of being able to reminisce with you the memories of the past 63 years when our friendship with Marion and Don began. You are a great family and a tribute to the values you were raised with. We will never forget Marion and Don, it was a pleasure to have been a part of their lives for many years.

Marion was truly a beautiful woman in every way possible! I taught across the hall from her at Highland El for several of the years that she was there. Always loved her cheery greetings and warm smile in the mornings and throughout each day. The joy she found in living was readily communicated to those around her. Rest well, Marion. You've more than earned it.

Donna, Mitch and family. I am so sorry to hear about your mom and I'm so glad I was able to see her when I was there in October. But now I know she is in heaven with your dad and in peace. I spent lots of time at your house as it was my "home away from home". Your mom (and dad) were the greatest people to know and love. The Marion I knew LIVED life, even when challenges came her way, she tackled them with grace and dignity, never complaining, always determined to see her way through them. The memories of the strength of her spirit and her sense of humor will be with me always. A fine woman with two wonderfully dedicated children. Jenni

I hope she will be remembered for her adventurous and unflappable nature. She didn't sweat the small or the big stuff. When a challenge arose, she met it openly, with optimism and bravery. I am a better person for knowing such a strong lady.

My thoughts and prayers are with you--even though I never meant your mom I feel like I know her--she was a fighter and did things her way, am I right?
