I always remember Dale and Bev having the girls church softball team over for a swim and good food after a game. It was such a treat. And I remember serving on the Board of Christian Women's Club with Bev and her dear friend, Sally Simpson. Now they are reunited in heaven. Also, all of the communion preparation the two couples provided. I still have her recipe for communion bread.

God gave me a mind to remember, not a camera to go back in time to remember all things good and bad. I've spent the last two days reliving some of the ways Aunt Bev has touched my life. There are three things that stand out from all the rest. One thing is her buying me my first bible in 1964 and helping me believe that there is someone who looks over us all. The second thing is getting my Dad and I in church together for the first time and only time. I can still see Dad sitting beside me and hearing his stomach growling loudly all through the sermon. The third thing and the most important one of all was the night I spent the night, I stayed all night when I was young with Ron. Aunt Bev came in and covered us up and said goodnight and kissed me on my forehead. I still have the bible, Dad, and the kiss with me after all these years. I will miss you very much. Every year, my boyfriend & I do the Walk to End Alzheimer's. We now have another name to add to our memory flowers.We love & miss you Great Aunt Bev!

Bev was such a dear soul. I am so sorry I will not be in town for her service or visitation. She served with me many years on the board of Christian Women's Club, she is fondly loved and missed. We also loved her hospitality and her wonderful strawberry-rhubarb pies. God Bless your family and comfort them.
