Janet, a fellow Lakevillian, was one of my first living examples of real Christianity. She was so faithful in seeking God's presence, towing her tribe of little ones off to church each Sunday. Her smile and zeal for the Lord was infectious, always full of encouragement and service. To see Janet's face was to see the reflection of God's love, she exhumed it. Janet's love for God's unborn never wavered, nor her love for her family and the body of Christ. We can take great comfort in knowing that one day we will reunite in Christ's presence for all eternity, free from the ravages of time, sickness, pain and sin. Oh, what a glorious day! Thank you Lord for the time you shared Janet with us!

She was so full of life! Ready to encourage you, always bubbling over with love and enthusiasm. This servant of God loved Him and served Him with all her heart! She was so grateful to Him for all His blessings; and was always ready to share His offer of salvation to those who would receive it.
The last time I spoke with her, not long ago, she expressed her great appreciation for her family who loved her. She spoke so highly of them and how they were there for her when she needed them. As we reminisced together over old times, she encouraged me so much that I will not soon forget her kind words and her certainty of blessings yet to come.

Dearest Family:
My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to each of you. Your Mom, my cousin, was a wonderful, giving person. When my sister died five years ago, Janet drove to Algonac in rainy, foggy nasty weather for the viewing. She wouldn't stay over and drove home. The next day she drove back for the funeral. I can't tell you how much that meant to me and her children and husband. Family was everything to her and I know that each of you, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren have been the joy of her life. My Mom and Dad, Paul and Ruth Sheardy Pegg, and my sisters, Patti and Sally (who are all in the Lord's care)and I loved your Mom. May you feel the presence of God's love and may it fill you with peace.
Love and Prayers,
Lynne

Dear Family and Family of God, Janet was a Mighty Woman of God and a very dear friend. She witnessed to many (including her family) taught many children and loved and helped us all to grow in God. Most of all she wanted all her family saved and back in church. We will greatly miss you Janet but we all know where you are now.

Janet had a child's heart and she loved EVERYONE. She had enough energy that if it could be harnessed could probably supply enough power to run this country for a lifetime. She taught more children than many of us will ever meet in our lifetime. We will ALL miss you Janet but, we will meet again. Our love and prayers go out to family and friends. God bless.

Dearest Family; On behalf of my mom Jane, my sister Susan and my brothers Dick and Pete, I lay in your arms a bouquet of love in honor of our beloved cousin. We Sheardy kids were very close to Janet when we were growing up and enjoyed her wonderful sense of humor, her boundless love for her family and her amazing faith. God be with you all in this time of celebration and sorrow.
