Frank KIM SING Obituary
August 2, 1937 – March 21, 2015
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend. It is with great sadness that we announce that Frank passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on March 21, 2015 after a lengthy illness, which he faced with immense courage and grace. Frank was born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa and graduated from the University of Cape Town with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He immigrated to Canada and married his beloved wife Kathy in 1968. Frank led a life of humility and integrity, being practical in action and word. His kind and gentle nature will be missed by all who knew him. Frank is survived by his loving wife Kathy, daughter Renelle (Bruce), son Chad (Victoria), grandchildren Rylan and Adanya, and sisters: Lily (Norman), Mary (Fred) and Doreen (Colin) and their families. Frank was predeceased by his parents Colin and Chung Shee, brother William and sister Emily. Prayers and Viewing will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 6 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 1345 West 73rd Avenue (and Montcalm). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St Anthony of Padua Church. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to "VGH and UBC Hospital Foundation" in memory of Frank Kim Sing. Online donations at http://tinyurl.com/ FrankKimSing. Cheques can also be made out to the "VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation" and mailed to 855 West 12th Ave., Vancouver BC, V5Z 1M9 (Memo line: in Memory of Frank Kim Sing - VGH Emergency Dept.)
