Steven R. Forsberg

1951 - 2015

Steven Roger Forsberg, of Rolla, passed away Friday, February 13, 2015 at the age of 63.
He was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota on July 3, 1951 to the late Leroy and Charlene (Quinn) Forsberg.
On March 14, 1987 he married Margaret M. Olson and they were later blessed with two sons.
Steve retired from the U.S. Forest Service in 2010 where he served as a Real Estate Specialist.
He enjoyed volunteering his time with his two Shih Tzus as therapy dogs for all the veterans at the Missouri Veteran's Home in St. James each Saturday. Steve also enjoyed woodworking in his workshop and was an avid gardener. He was a member of the Ridgeview Christian Church in Rolla.
He will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes his wife, Marg Olson, of Rolla; two sons, Jesse Olberg, of Ely, MN, and Sven Olberg, of Rolla; two brothers, Michael Forsberg and wife Julie, of Sartell, MN, and Paul Forsberg, of Osakis, MN; nieces, nephews and other extended family members as well as his two faithful K-9 companions, Buddy and Benji.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Steve Forsberg will be held at 10 am. Saturday, February 28, 2015, at the Null & Son Funeral Home in Rolla.
Steve loved his sons and his dogs, in lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to either the Rolla High School Marching Band, Rolla Area Soccer Programs, or the Rolla Animal Shelter.
