Ernest Kuppenbender 1925 2007 After a lengthy illness, Ernest John Baptiste, born July 11, 1925 in Titanic, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully at the Saskatoon Convalescent Home on Sunday, December 16, 2007. By coincidence, the house P.A. system was playing the Chimes of Christmas at the time. Ernest was predeceased by his mother, Bernadette; dad, Frank; baby sister, Marie; brothers, Ruben, George, Laurent, Louis and Joseph. Surviving are sisters, Flora Boyer of Saskatoon, SK, Doris (Bruce) Campbell of Saskatoon, SK, Martha (Dale) Huser of Kamloops, BC; sister-in-law, Theresa Kuppenbender of Saskatoon, SK; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank Dr. Balakrishna for his many years of unfailing medical care and advice to Ernest. The family also expresses appreciation to the Convalescent Home Management and Staff for their kind and efficient care during Ernest's stay. Kindness like this is not soon forgotten. In Ernest's memory, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association (SK Division), Canadian Cancer Society, or the Alzheimer's Society of Saskatchewan. The Memorial Service will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home (east on 8th Street, turn right before the railway track) on Friday, December 21, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. Committal of ashes will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
