George will be missed. My brother, Charles Estridge, was an original member of "The Nomads," along with George. What memories I have, listening to them practice in our living room! There are now only three original members left...Guitarists Charles Estridge and Bill Rollings and drummer, James Adams. Precious memories of George and a great group!

I was a big fan of Griff's before I ever met him. I had the pleasure and honor of sharing the stage with him twice, sang background on one of his songs, but most of all, I was honored to call him my friend! As I said on my radio show, "Griff is my favorite Carolina Bluesman". I pray God will bring comfort to the family and multitude of friends..

The Lord bestowed talents unimaginable, unto this man we knew as Griff. What a testimony of God's creation, through the heart and hands of this man, affectionately known as Griff. He shared the awesome beauty of our Lord's creation, by articulately portraying divine magic upon countless sheets of canvas. The perfection of his passionate work shall remain with us for generations to come. Even to live for a time unlimited, is his soul, which will live throughout eternity. His art and music shall forever remain a treasure within our hearts. Griff, while on this earth, was indeed, a reflection of the Lord's perfection in artistry. Jim Stork 20 November 2016

I will always remember Griff when he would play at the Islander Shag Club. The first time I heard them play. I bought a copy of each CD he had and he and the band signed one for me. I also bought one of his prints which hangs in my living room. I will treasure these as I enjoyed his music so much. My prayers are with his family and friends.

The time I got to spend with Griff in his later years were colorful and memorable, to say the least. His eyes would light up like that of a kid on Christmas morning when I would take him a Rush's hamburger and strawberry shake.
The world lost a true artist in every sense of the word. Griff will be warming up the band in heaven.

I had the pleasure of calling this man "my friend". Griff was a great guy, never met a stranger and dearly loved his music. He was a brilliant artist but it appeared that music was his first love. My two best memories of Griff were a night when Me, Griff, Dave Freeman and Tony Torre jammed at the old Pad at N Myrtle Beach before they tore it down. and Me, Griff and Johnny Cox played a few gigs together to include my 68th birthday party. RIP my friend and God be with his family at this sad time.
