Dakota Schaefer Obituary

DAKOTA SCHAEFER

WORDEN — Dakota Andrew Schaefer, went to be with the Lord at 6:55 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Cardinal Glennon Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

He was born on April 20, 2016, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois, the son of Matthew and Amanda Schaefer.

In addition to his parents, Dakota is survived by his twin sister, Harper Nicole Schaefer, his grandparents, Robert and Martha "Marti" Schaefer of Worden and Marilyn Riggs of Hartford, Illinois; one Aunt Angela Riggs of Hartford, and one Uncle Andrew Riggs of Denver, Colorado.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home, Bethalto.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church in Bethalto with Pastor Mark Hofferber officiating.

Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

Memorials may be made to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital's NIC Unit or Zion Lutheran School.

I am so sorry for your loss. This truly is heartbreaking to see you guys go through this and being helpless. 2 things i know for sure are that little angel is loved more than anyone could ever hope for and number 2that sweet Harper Will always have her brave little brother watching out for her. She is so lucky to have gotten to spend all them months at his side
