Anthony J. Kaminski, 85, of West Scranton, died Sunday morning at the Wilkes-Barre Department of Veteran Affairs Hospice (COVID-19). He was the husband and best friend of Janine Bedyk Kaminski. The couple was married Sept. 26, 1959, in France.
Born on March 1, 1935, in Scranton, he was the son of the late Kazimierz and Zofia Kaminski. Tony graduated from West Scranton High School and Johnson College carpentry program. After graduating from Johnson College, Tony proudly served his country as a private first class drafter in the United States Army. He owned his own successful business, Kaminski Builders, which was known for their master carpentry skills displayed in building many homes. Tony was a hard worker and continued to work odd jobs past retirement with his buddy, Danny Zeller. He enjoyed spending time with family and the boys at Amity Cabinets.
In addition to his loving wife, Janine, he is also survived by sons, Christopher (ex-wife, Patti) and Richard (Karen); daughter, Corine Lenzi (John); six grandchildren, Elizabeth Marsala (Michael), Selina and Debbie Kaminski, Nicholas, Jeremy, and Zachary Lenzi; five great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Christopher, and Everly Marsala and Odin and Orion Forsette. Tony was a wonderful son, husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by everyone.
The family would like to thank the Wilkes-Barre Department of Veteran Affairs Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to Tony. We would also like to thank his favorite doctors, Dr. Belikova, Dr. Levchuck and Dr. Chiang.
A private memorial service in his memory will be held at a later date.

What a wonderful man has been lost. A truly caring individual who put the art of the craftsman into everything he touched. Heartfelt sympathy to his entire immediate and extended family from one who was so lucky to have known him and all of you.

Dear Mrs. Kaminski and Ricky and Chris and your families. I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Kaminski passing. He was such a nice man. I was his neighbor when I lived on Rundle Street. He was a talented carpenter and could do anything. He did some work on my homestead. Ricky and Chris I am so sorry for your loss. I know how close you were to your dad. God rest his soul. Your friend, Mary Jennings
