David O'Hara Obituary
Born Jan. 6, 1984, in Scranton, he was the son of David (a former employee of The Times-Tribune) and Margaret (Noone) O'Hara Sr. of Lavallette, N.J., and Auburndale, Fla. Formerly of Dalton, he was a 2002 graduate of Abington Heights High School, and received his bachelor's degree in political science from Temple University, Philadelphia. A political activist, he was a campaign finance director for several political campaigns.
He was a member of Church of St. Gregory and political professional committees and organizations.
Also surviving are aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Noone O'Hara, who died June 18, 1995; his paternal grandparents, Gerard and Florence (McGeary) O'Hara; and maternal grandparents, George and Marge (Wilson) Noone.
The funeral will be Monday with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. from Church of St. Gregory, 330 N. Abington Road, Clarks Green, to be celebrated by the Rev. John M. Lapera. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Service Inc., 111 Colburn Ave., Clarks Summit.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndromes Foundation, 508 E. South Temple, Suite No. 202, Salt Lake City, UT 84102.

I met Dave through a pro wrestling forum and from the conversations I had with him. He always made me laugh and then think. Which I loved him for that. This world just lost a real good guy and a special person.

Dear Mr. & Mrs. O'Hara, I am so, so sorry for your loss. David was always a sweetheart. I remember him as a little boy when he was in Waverly Elementary with my daughter, Katie. He was always friendly, sweet, and respectful, and he had beautiful, smiling eyes! He will be sadly missed by everyone. May God give you the strength to carry on. Rest in peace, David. I am so very sorry to hear about Dave's passing. There are no words that could even begin to help the hurt that his family and love ones must be feeling. Elizabeth, "Biff" was a very good friend of mine growing up and I hope comfort can be found that they are together again. Sending prayers!

Very sorry to hear about Dave's passing. Got to know him about 10 years ago on a pro wrestling forum. He was one of the genuine nice guys that I've had the pleasure of knowing. With the passion and knowledge he had for the issues he believed in strongly, I always thought he had the potential to do great things. It breaks my heart that his life was cut far too short.

Words can not express how saddened I am by the loss of such a great individual and cousin. Almost twenty years ago I was trying to find the words to say goodbye to Elizabeth and now I have to find the words to say goodbye to you.
