Dear von der Heydes - I have just seen this online as for some reason I remembered it was Jane's birthday. I tried to send a message just now, but do not think it got through!
But I wanted to send my deepest sympathy to Bronwen and the family. What a kind and friendly man... and brilliantly ruthless at family games of Monopoly! I have such happy memories, as a friend of the children, of staying at Luth House and experiencing the hospitality of Helmet and Bronwen - very happy times. Warm wishes to you all.

Dear Bronwen and family,
I have just received news from Andrew Hamilton of the sad passing of Helmet.
The Knight family firstly with Tom and Kay and latterly myself enjoyed many moments both at trade meetings and exhibitions with Helmet and with you both at APMI dinner dances and of course the post IPEX trips.
I remember your vivid description of mother having lost a tooth, on one trip.
The industry has changed greatly from those exciting days, I myself retired in 2003 and now spend most of the year in France or the Canary Islands.
Helmet's opinions and views were held in high regard and he was definitely one of those special personalities who at the time was very influential, unfortunately like Helmet most have now passed on.

I am so sorry for your loss.
