Joyce Yvonne COLLIN-SMITH

Joyce Yvonne, on 9th November 2010, at home in Scarborough, aged 91. Writer and Journalist, author of "Call No Man Master" and "Of Fire & Music". Beloved wife of the late Richard (Derry), sister-in-law of Rodney Collin, author and Philosopher. Mother of Ann, grandmother of Carol and Sally. Through the bloodline on both sides, (Hartley and Collin-Smith) almost all male forebears were journalists and newspaper Editors, incuding two great grandfathers, colleagues and friends of Charles Dickens in the Press Gallery of the House of Commons. Funeral Service is to be held at St Martins Church, South Cliff, Scarborough on Thursday 18th November at 11.00am. Followed by a further Funeral Service and Interment at Hoveton St John Church, Norfolk on Friday 26th November at 11.00am.
