David Paul Briscoe Alpena Mr. David Paul Briscoe, 79, of Alpena, formerly of Port Huron, died Monday, September 27, 2010. He was born November 18, 1930 in Port Huron to the late Ferris and Mary Briscoe. He married Shirley VanderVeen on September 15, 1956 in Port Huron. Mr. Briscoe graduated from the University of Michigan and was a pharmacist in the Port Huron area for many years prior to his retirement. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member and elder of Westminster Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Shirley; four children, Kathleen Joy (Larry Graham) Briscoe of Georgia, Dr. Jennifer Lynne Briscoe of Alpena, David Paul Briscoe Jr. of Ypsilanti and William David Briscoe of Alpena; two sisters, Gloria Robbins and Nancy Tenniswood; a sister-in-law, Irene Lindeborg; a brother-in-law, William D. Fox; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Eloise Fox; an infant sister, Lavatah Briscoe; a brother, Ferris A. Briscoe; two brothers-in-law, Rev. Charles Robbins and Robert Tenniswood; and a niece, Carol Sue Robbins. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 1, 2010 in Westminster Presbyterian Church. The Reverend Mickey R. Blair will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
