Henry Fasel Obituary
Kenockee Twp. - Henry Fasel Jr. (Hank) joined the love of his life, Lila Lee on Sept 21, 2018, surrounded by his family and companion dog, Dolly. He was born March 3, 1929, in Detroit, the son of the late Henry and Louise (Schute) Fasel. He married Lila Lee Glyshaw on September 27, 1947. Their 70 year marriage was one that inspired many. He built a successful life as a self-employed contractor and farmer. His lifelong passion was being a pilot, flying his airplane and traveling. He was especially talented with and loved woodworking. He served as Kenockee township supervisor and assessor and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Hank will be remembered most for his kind heart ,his funny sense of humor and being a true gentleman to everyone he knew. Surviving him, are his five children, Marilyn and Paul Schmitt of Burtchville Twp, Kathy and Robert Soule of Croswell, Vernon and Elizabeth Fasel of Honeyoye Falls, New York, Andrea and Mike Ellul of Algonac, and Nicole and Mike Jackson of Kimball Twp. several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his son-in-law Leon Turner. A very special thank you to Henry's dedicated caregivers and to Grace Hospice for their excellent care. In honor of Henry's life, the family invites you to visit and share memories Wednesday, September 26, 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Yale. A funeral service will be held Thursday, with 10:00 a.m. visiting followed by an 11:00 service. Pastor Jeff Volpe will officiate. A dinner will be held at Greenwood Twp. Hall directly after the service. Burial will be in Ruby cemetery. Memorials are suggested to "Wishes of the Family". For information and Guest Book:
