She was born December 23, 1970 in Port Huron to the late Calvin and Dora Mae Russel. She married David Nabozney on April 13, 1991 in Port Huron.

Throughout Dona's life she touched many lives through work and play. She had a loving heart and sympathetic ear for many and was always eager to help anyone, especially children. She is survived by her husband, David; four children, Dylan, Jakob, Gracie and Chloe; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gayle and Don Nabozney of Marysville; a brother-in-law, D.J. (Lori) Nabozney of Kimball; a niece, Isabella and nephew, Logan; several aunts and cousins; and best friends and co-workers, Pat Gillard of Goodells and Janice Charzynski of Jeddo.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 in Colonial Woods Missionary Church with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. The Reverend Phil Whetstone will officiate. Please wear a mask for the safety and comfort of others.

My goodness... what can I say? The most beautiful friend . Dona was my bestie growing up. When she fell in love with Dave (6th or 7th grade), my bubilicious gum was gone.. Madly in love would be an understatement... she loved Dave. I am so deeply saddened by our loss. Our heart, prayers and love go to you Dave and the beautiful children. XOXO

Dave, both Kay and I so very sorry to hear of Dona’s passing. We had been praying for Dona’s recovery. We don’t know God’s plan, however, we must keep our faith in Him. We will continue praying for you and your family. God bless you and your family, and keep the faith in Jesus’ plan.

Praying for your entire family The last time I talked with Dona, I remember how happy she was telling me about her children, and how she just loved being a Mom.
I am so sorry for your loss.
