Ann L. Snyder

Alexandria - Funeral services celebrating the life of Ann L. Snyder will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria with Reverend Cliff Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Pineville.

The family requests that visitation be observed at the funeral home Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Joe Conn, Chase Courtney, Coury Courtney and Christopher Clay Lambert, great grandson, Jacob Dauzat, grandson in law, Matthew Dauzat, and great nephews, Ross Babineaux and Coby Lambert.

Ms. Ann L. Snyder was born March 12, 1935 in the Poland Community and left to be with her Lord, which she loved so much, Friday, January 19, 2018 at her home.

Ms. Ann was the former First Lady of Alexandria. She was employed by Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, as a Certified Dietitian retiring after 30 years of service. She had served as State and Cenla President of the Dietary Mangers Association. She had been an active member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Encouragers Sunday School Class. She was a member of Republicans Women's Association, the Mystique Mardi Gras Krewe of Rapides, Alexandria Business Woman's Association, AARP, and Dixieland Red Hats. Ms. Snyder was an active member and held offices in all organizations enjoying all members and activities.

She loved her girls and their families. They are all Christians and faithful to their church. Ann was always proud of her family. She could always find something about them to brag about. They were her life.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Ed "Block" and Lillie Lambert; husbands, Maxie Herring, the father of her children and Mayor John K. Snyder; brother, R. Leo Lambert, Sr.; sisters, Jean Lambert and Lucille Chicola and granddaughter, Anna Nicole Lambert.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Sheryl Ann Lambert (Archie) of Alexandria and Karen Sue Herring (G.R. Munsterman) of Pineville; five grandchildren, Stephanie Dauzat (Matthew) of Poland, Joe E. Conn II (Tara) of Lafayette, Chase Courtney (Katie) of Kansas City, Coury Courtney (Elizabeth) of Baton Rouge and Christopher Clay Lambert of Alexandria; four great-grandchildren, Jacob Dauzat of Poland, Ave Austin, Carson Venix Conn of Lafayette and Wyatt James Courtney of Kansas City; brother, Charles Lambert of Sulphur; sister, Jessica Dennis (B.T.) of Pineville; all her nieces and nephews were loved and precious to her.
